Mounting
Abimax is easily mounted on a hose, pipe, tap or watering can and can be moved just as easily. Four screws are included, but are rarely needed as the magnet holds itself in place. No electricity, no maintenance, no chemicals.
Abimax Magnostream (clip-on)
Split the magnet in two halves and place them around the hose or pipe. The magnets do not need to fit together completely to work, but make sure the red markings end up on the same side.
Abimax Magnostream Pro (inline)
Mount on a straight and easily accessible part of the pipe. Attach the unit according to the thread type or adapter – done!
Design and function
Abimax was developed in the UK by industrial designer Gavin Reay, who specializes in magnetic water treatment.
Abimax is designed with four magnets that create a stable magnetic field. This affects the structure of the water and can improve the absorption of water and nutrients in the roots.
Frequently asked questions
Does Abimax fit my hose/pipe?
Abimax fits garden hoses 12.5–20 mm. For larger hoses and pipes (20–50 mm) there is Abimax Magnostream Pro. It is also possible to connect links to fit larger dimensions.
Is Abimax a filter?
No. Abimax does not filter or remove minerals. It structures the water using magnetic fields that affect how the water behaves.
How do I install Abimax?
Separate the two parts, place them around the hose or pipe and attach the magnet. It takes less than 10 seconds. The magnet does not have to be fully assembled to work. Note: The red squares (on the Abimax Magnostream) should be on the same side for optimal function.
How long is the water structured?
The effect usually lasts for 2–3 days.
How far does the effect reach in the hose?
Up to approximately 100 meters depending on the number of branches and whether the hose is reasonably straight.
Does Abimax work in hard water?
Yes. The magnetic field affects how calcium behaves in the water, which reduces deposits and makes the water softer in use.
Can I use Abimax indoors?
Yes. It can be easily mounted on kitchen faucets, showers, dishwashers or other pipes.
Are there tests that show it works?
Yes. Abimax is, among other things, verified by Grobruket with statistically significant results on germination, growth and more even development.
Is Abimax safe to use?
Yes. However, avoid placing magnets near pacemakers and keep credit cards away from magnetic surfaces.
