The berry season is coming to an end, but the ever-bearing strawberries will continue to produce berries for a few more weeks. Last Monday, I made another visit to Sibbesson to see how things were looking. Once there, I was joined by Louise from Koppert, who helped me with an extra pair of eyes to check on the plants.

They had picked earlier in the day, but there were still plenty of both unripe and ripe fruit and flowers on the plants – and many berries left to harvest before the season ends, if only the spotted wing drosophila stays away, Louise explained.

During each visit, I take pictures of the sixth plant in row two to follow its development.
